Arcades coin it in thanks to 'Tipping Point effect'

AMUSEMENT arcades are making a comeback this summer - because of the "Tipping Point effect" of the Ben Shephard ITV show.

Many seaside halls containing 2p falls and fruit machines had to close after punters abandoned them from the early 2000s in favour of consoles and mobile phone games.

But operators this year report a surge of interest, with more arcades opening and an increase in trade.
