PM to scrap exemption for security services
KEIR Starmer is expected to axe plans to let spies be exempt from the Hillsborough Law.
In a breakthrough, the PM will reportedly extend the new duty of candour in the legislation to ensure MI5, MI6 and GCHQ are included.
It forces authorities to tell the truth and co-operate with inquiries to prevent state cover-ups.
The law was pulled from the Commons in January after a row over an amendment on security services.
