Norrie crashes out on another bad day for Brits

CAMERON NORRIE'S barren run against Alexander Zverev continued - but the British No.2 insisted he exited the Australian Open with his head held high.

Norrie suffered a seventh straight Tour defeat at the hands of the German.

He suffered a 7-6 4-6 6-3 6-1 defeat to last year's runner-up, who got the job done with his 16th ace of the night.

Norrie (shaking hands with Zverev, right), the last Brit standing in the singles draw, said: "I thought the level was really good.

"First three sets, very good.

There was maybe a slight dip in that third set, but it was kind of constant pressure, I thought, in all departments of the game.
