Far-right slammed after sickening scenes

RACISM campaigners have blasted the far right after an angry protest against asylum seekers who are being housed in a former hotel.

Hundreds gathered outside the Cladhan Hotel in Falkirk on Saturday when cops were called to ugly scenes.

Placards reading "Kill them all" and "We want our country back" were held up among the crowds before a 26-yearold man was arrested.

Organisers, a Facebook group called Save Our Future and Our Kids' Futures, said it had "no affiliation" with farright protesters at the event.

Anti-racism counterdemonstrators also attended with police keeping the groups apart as they stood on opposite sides of the road.

The hotel is managed by Mears Group on behalf of the Home Office, which meets the full costs of accommodation, meals and financial allowances for asylum seekers.
