Arrests follow furore over an online clip
A MAN and woman have been charged by police after an incident in which a girl of 12 was charged for allegedly brandishing an axe and a machete.
The child is said to have been in possession of the weapons in a street in Lochee, Dundee, last month, with footage circulated online.
Yesterday, the force said a decision had been taken to charge two people.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following extensive enquiries, a man and a woman have been charged in connection with an incident in St Ann Lane in Dundee, which was reported around 7.40pm on Saturday, August 23.
“The circumstances will be reported to the procurator fiscal.
