IT sounds like a skirmish from the dusty annals of history but the Battle of Culiacan is all too recent.
The bloody events of October 17, 2019, or Black Thursday, began when a convoy of several dozen police officers and soldiers approached a house in the Tres Rios area of Culiacan, the city heartland of the infamous Sinaloa drugs cartel.
