Killie ace eyes World Cup dream date
NEW ZEALAND hopeful George Stanger is keeping fingers crossed his All Whites World Cup dream will be all right on the night.
The Melrose-born Kilmarnock defender - son of former Scotland rugby star Tony - qualifies for his adopted nation through his mum Bid.
Although he has a handful of Kiwi caps at youth level, the 25-year-old is still waiting for his first senior call-up.
But with New Zealand already qualified for next summer's World Cup extravaganza in North America, the Rugby Park stopper is ready to redouble his efforts to make his big breakthrough.
He said: "I've spoken to the manager Darren Bazeley since I signed for Killie, he's kept in touch.
