SPFL player left in agony at stadium for 10 hours

Sorry, Charlie

THE First Minister has apologised to a footballer left waiting 10 hours for an ambulance after suffering a dislocated knee.

Charlie Fox was playing for Queen's Park against Partick Thistle at Firhill last Saturday when he suffered the injury.

The incident was judged so severe by match officials that play was stopped for more than 10 minutes while the player got treatment from club medical staff on the pitch.

Fox was injured at around 3.25pm but was not collected by an ambulance and taken to hospital until 1am.
