Nunez strike makes it 9 out of 9 for Pool

SLOT STERNUL

>>RB LEIPZIG...O LIVERPOOL...1

ARNE SLOT'S stunning start as boss continued as Liverpool maintained their 100 per cent record in the Champions League this season.

Darwin Nunez's first-half goal was enough to see off RB Leipzig and make it three wins from three in Europe.

Liverpool have only lost one of their 12 games this season, with 11 victories in all competitions now the best start to a campaign in their history.

The Reds only trail table toppers Aston Villa by goal difference in this revamped version of the competition as they cruise towards the knockout stages.

Slot said: "We controlled the game in large parts apart from the last few minutes."

They say goals change games but it was a chalked off one that changed the course of this one.
