King directs that domestic abuser Hogg should lose his place in register of titles

DISGRACED former rugby ace Stuart Hogg has been stripped of his MBE.

The former Scotland captain, 33, was convicted at Selkirk Sheriff Court last November over a five-year course of domestic abuse against his wife.

He admitted shouting, swearing and acting in an abusive manner towards her, as well as repeatedly tracking her movements and sending messages of an alarming nature.

The sportsman avoided jail and was ordered to complete a community payback order with one year of supervision instead. Official public records now show that Hogg has lost his title.
