GREAT BRITAIN won their first swimming medal at the World Aquatics Championships as Scottish hero Duncan Scott anchored the men's 4x200 metres freestyle relay team to gold in Singapore.

The British squad - Olympic champions in Paris last summer - were led home by the Stirling swimmer in six minutes and 59.84 seconds ahead of China, with Australia taking bronze.
