JOE ROTHWELL has backed boss Russell Martin to unite the club and get Rangers back on the trophy trail.
The English midfielder, an arrival from Bournemouth, has worked with the new Ibrox gaffer at Southampton.
Rothwell claims Martin has a knack of bringing clubs together and is adamant if players and staff buy into his philosophy, he will bring success to Rangers.
The 30-year-old, who won promotion to the Premier League at Saints with Martin in charge, said: “The manager was obviously a big factor in me coming here. There was a bit of interest before he got the job but as soon as I found out he was getting it, he gave me a call and I told him I'd be straight there.
