Reeves picks our pockets and lives in another world

SO RACHEL Reeves is trying to warm up the UK, for tax-hikes in a speech.

Reeves picks our pockets and lives in another world

First of all, it shows this current Labour government has never planned to keep its manifesto promises of no tax-rises.

This whole Labour government is living on another planet. They have no idea how life in the real world is.

Why does Reeves not see what every human being sees? Raising tax means people have less to spend, less spending is less money coming into the coffers.

The Government should look at its own place too.

Why should all those ministers who have an apartment, a second home in London, or grace and favour homes and so forth, get extra tax perks and all their expenses paid for?

Great cost-cutting possibilities under the nose of the PM and Chancellor.

Bring back the belt

I AM appalled and incensed to read about the violence in schools. It is a very sad situation that support workers are subjected to assaults from pupils as young as nine.

These children are tomorrow's gangsters. Maybe it's time corporal punishment was implemented again.

The deterrent of punishment was enough for most pupils in my day and the classrooms were a place for learning.

Something will need to be done.
