NEVER before seen footage of Oasis performing in Glasgow on the night they were discovered is to be sold at auction.
Liam and Noel Gallagher played one of their first gigs with their bandmates at the city’s King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on May 31, 1993.
The Roll With It band were offered a record deal on the spot by Creation Records boss, Scot Alan McGee, who was in the audience at the venue.
The Oasis performance was captured on a camcorder by Japanese student Ayako Misawa, who was living in the city at the time.
A snippet from the recording featured in the 2016 Oasis documentary Supersonic but the nine-minute footage has never been publicly shared in full. The video and its associated copyright will go under the hammer at Propstore’s Music Memorabilia Live Auction next month and has been given an estimate of £4000 to £8000. The lot comprises the original Sony Handycam Video8 camcorder and cassette tape, battery pack and charger, and Misawa’s original concert ticket.
