Some Rangers ‘stars’ are missing on and off the park.. at least Barron had courage to face music after another horror show
-
IT probably tells you all you need to know about this Rangers squad.
After they suffered yet another Euro embarrassment against Brann Bergen in Norway, you'd have expected some of the club's senior figures or expensive summer signings to hold up their hands up to a woeful performance and unacceptable result.
Captain James Tavernier, to his credit, did just that.
He rightly described the display as disgraceful.
But the rest? Just like on the pitch, most went into hiding.
The only other player who fronted up to talk to the media was young Connor Barron.
You had to feel for him. He'd only been on the pitch in Bergen for 26 minutes as a sub.
But it shows his character that he spoke up - even if he found it difficult to give answers on his team's wretched run.
Where was centre-back Nasser Djiga? A loan signing from Wolves who is earning a fortune in wages at Ibrox but can't defend a set-piece.
Where was Nico Raskin? The Belgian so-called saviour of this side when Russell Martin dared to drop him.
Raskin is supposedly Rangers' most prized asset. But like so many, he was posted missing.
