The deceased sex offender regularly exchanged messages with a range of politicians, academics, billionaire businessmen and many more besides.

Not everyone named in these emails ever met Epstein, or was connected to his now notorious crimes.

But the revelations yesterday regarding Peter Mandelson, a former Labour minister under Gordon Brown until 2010, saw eyebrows across Westminster shoot to the ceiling.
