Ozzy 'had no idea so many people liked him'

Black Sabbath star told wife of shock at final gig

JUST days before his death, Ozzy Osbourne spoke of being overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from fans following his farewell concert performance.

Wife Sharon told how the rock star confided in her: "He turned around and he said to me that night, 'I had no idea that so many people liked me."

The 72-year-old added: "Ozzy's always been in his own bubble."

The Black Sabbath singer died aged 76 on July 22 from a reported heart attack, weeks after reuniting with his old band for the The Back to the Beginning concert in Birmingham.

Sharon said: "For Ozzy to play with Bill [Ward, drummer] again, he was very, very emotional about that."
