Actress conquering her anxiety is real win, says Shona's mum

FOR Shona McGarty's mum, Jennifer, her trial triumph was only her second best I'm a Celeb moment.

Nol came during Shona's quiet conversation with Ruby Wax, when the East-Enders actress finally admitted how bad her anxiety had been... and was gently reassured that she was doing brilliantly.

Jennifer said: “I could see little Shona's face light up, as she thought 'I am actually smashing this. I'm doing it. I am coping.’”

Watching thousands of miles away from home, Jennifer added: “It was a weight off our minds. You can tell when she is smiling and if it is genuine.”

The moment mattered because Jennifer knows how troubled by anxiety Shona has been.
