Ayr hosts Euro Lambretta Jamboree for fanatics from all over the world
SCOTLAND'S biggest invasion of Lambretta scooters has arrived, with bikers from as far afield as Argentina, Canada and Australia.
More than 1300 enthusiasts of the Italian scooter manufacturer have descended on Ayr for the 34th Euro Lambretta Jamboree.
The worldwide gathering is the first time the event has been held in Scotland since 2004, when it took place in Kelso.
The Lambretta Club of Scotland's chairman, John McMillan, told The Record: "It is our turn to run the annual event. Every year it's a different country in Europe.
"Last year, it was held in France and it has been held in places like Italy, Holland, Spain and Germany and I've been to Sweden.
