Big Barca reunion gives FIFA a perfect story but PSG have too much class for Leo & Co

FIFA bent over backwards to get Lionel Messi involved in the Club World Cup and they've now got the blockbuster game they dreamed of in the last 16.

The greatest player the world has ever seen now takes on the finest team currently strutting their stuff as Messi's Inter Miami go up against European champions Paris St-Germain.

Tomorrow's clash in Atlanta would have been tasty enough without the added spice of a big Barcelona reunion.

Luis Enrique memorably led the Catalan giants to a treble in 2015 with Messi part of a superstar forward line beside Neymar and Luis Suarez.

Suarez now plays for Miami alongside Messi and two other players from that legendary Barca side - midfielder Sergio Busquets and left-back Jordi Alba.

They are all past their prime but have still shown some flashes of the old magic this summer, with Messi scoring a stunning free-kick in the win over Porto and Suarez getting on the scoresheet in the draw with Palmeiras.

The MLS side were 2-0 up in that match against the Brazilians but conceded twice in the last 10 minutes as Palmeiras pinched a point that took them above Inter at the top of Group A.
