Suspects 'fleeing to Africa' detained in dramatic raids
TWO men were dramatically arrested yesterday in connection with the £78million Louvre museum heist - one caught at an airport as he tried to flee by plane.
Police confirmed the pair detained were suspected of breaking into the most-visited gallery in the world in Paris a week ago and stealing some of the “French crown jewels”, once worn by Napoleon's wife Marie-Louise.
