ECONOMY NEEDS FIRING UP, SAYS CBI

RACHEL Reeves has been urged to increase personal taxes rather than bash businesses in the Budget.

Business lobby group the CBI called on the Chancellor to take “bold decisions to “get the economy firing”.

And echoing a message Reeves gave in this week's pre-Budget speech, the CBI said she should “prioritise long-term prosperity over short-term thinking”.
