OFCOM'S DEMAND FOR LETTER LETDOWN

Late Royal Mail gets £21m slap

ROYAL Mail has been hit with a new £21million fine for missing first and second class delivery targets yet again.

It is the third biggest fine Ofcom has imposed on any company, and comes after millions of letters arrived late.

Royal Mail only delivered 77 per cent of first class mail and 92.5 per cent of second class on time in its 2024-25 financial year - well short its respective 93 per cent and 98.5 per cent targets.
