Just a flying visit

NO big pike for me so far this autumn but with the first cold nights my flyfishing trip to Mentieth whetted the appetite.

We caught a few decent fish, nothing worth weighing but there were some very big shadows on the fishfinder and a few of those tempting takes that could've been.

Some of the trout anglers had a great day as well, pulling patterns seemed to be working with reports of shoals of roach fry bubbling and breaking the surface, possibly being corralled by rainbows.

There’ a bit of a changeover just now.

My friend Chris was feeling abit down as he’s packing away the summer gear.

More like he eventually took it out of the back as there aren't many pleasant nights for a few hours after work in the winter.
