Lucky boxers won't do it for Robbo
STEPHEN ROBINSON admits he finally accepts his lucky boxer shorts won't decide whether or not his St Mirren side make the Premier Sports Cup Final.
But he reckons he will have to keep his pants on if he's to avoid another embarrassing touchline bust-up at Hampden.
The Buddies boss is heading back to the National Stadium for the first time since the 2017/18 campaign, when he led today's opponents Motherwell to the finals of both domestic cups.
But his memories of Well's victory over Rangers in the semis of that year's League Cup is marred by an "emotional" bust-up with former Ibrox boss Pedro Caixinha which saw both men sent to the stands.
Robinson was left to cheer on Louis Moult's decisive double from the Hampden posh seats.
But he's vowed he'll be on his best behaviour this time.
