Bike ace on nearly dying in horror collision

A SUPERBIKE star has broken his silence on nearly dying and learning to walk again following a crash which left him “touch and go” in an induced coma.

Callum Grigor was left battling to survive after a terrifying collision on September 6, at Donington Park during the Pirelli National Superstock Championship race.

The 27-year-old, of Wishaw, Lanarkshire, was thrown off his bike when he hit Manx star Nathan Harrison at 90mph, following brake failure caused by an earlier collision.

Callum went into cardiac arrest after suffering a blow to the head and a crushed spinal cord. Doctors at the scene administered CPR to restart his heart before cuts were made to his lungs and chest drains were fitted.
