QEUH doctors send report to prosecutors

PROSECUTORS have launched a probe into the death of Pride of Scotland winner Molly Cuddihy seven years after she became ill with a hospital bug.

Molly died on Tuesday at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

In 2018, she had developed septic shock while receiving cancer treatment at the same hospital, which is now at the centre of a public inquiry over safety issues.

It is understood her death has been reported to prosecutors by doctors after she was admitted again last month and developed another hospital-acquired infection.
