Mystery letter is key to death probe

POLICE have reopened an investigation into the hit-and-run death of a dad over 13 years ago.

A taxi driver found Ian Brown, from Dailly, Ayrshire, lying by the side of the B734 at about 3am on July 28, 2012.

The 48-year-old had left a works day out at Girvan Bowling Club at around 12.20am to walk back to his home.
