Charles asked what he knew about Andrew and Epstein

- BY JENNIFER NEWTON and DAVE BURKE

THE King was heckled by a protester over his disgraced brother yesterday, as pressure mounts for Prince Andrew to be hauled in front of MPs for a grilling over his Royal Lodge lease.

Andrew is said to be in talks with Charles' representatives about quitting his 30-room Windsor mansion, for which he has paid just a "peppercorn" rent for more than 20 years.

However calls are getting louder for him to testify in front of a Commons select committee on the use of taxpayer cash after it emerged he has lived in the £30million Crown Estate property since 2003 effectively rent-free.

The under-fire royal attempted to draw a line under years of scandal regarding his friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and allegations he sexually abused Virginia Giuffre, by giving up his dukedom and other honours ahead of the publication of Giuffre's posthumous memoirs earlier this month.

But the prince, who strenuously denies all the allegations against him, has instead been swamped by criticism focused on his living arrangements.

Amid the furore over Royal Lodge and Andrew's links to the late American financier Epstein, the King had to face a protester during an outing at Lichfield Cathedral, who yelled: "How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?"

The King had attempted to brush off the family drama as he visited the West Midlands to attend a special service at the cathedral yesterday morning.
