PAUL HANLON hopes Raith are on-message for his dugout debut - even though the players have threatened to kick him out the WhatsApp chat.

The experienced former Hibs defender will take charge of today’s visit of Airdrie after being appointed interim player-boss in the wake of Barry Robson’s sacking.

Hanlon knows he will have to start distancing himself from his teammates for as long as he’s in charge as he faces some difficult decisions over team selection.

But the squad made the first move after holding a vote on whether to ban him from their messaging group.

Hanlon said: “There was a vote put in - should I stay or should I go from the chat - and only three voted so I think T'ma bit intimidating now.
