United loanee aims to win a long-term deal and secure an international spot
KRISZTIAN KERESZTES has taken everything about playing and living in Scotland in his substantial stride... including driving on the wrong side of the road.
The towering 6ft 5in defender joined the Terrors on a season-long loan from Hungarian topflight club Nyiregyhaza Spartacus in July.
The 25-year-old has played every minute of United's season and hopes competing in the Premiership will help him realise his dreams of a call-up to the Hungary squad.
The centre-half admits he is loving life so much at Tannadice, he is already hoping his loan deal can become a permanent one with the club having an option to buy.
Keresztes, who will line up against Aberdeen at Tannadice this evening, said: “I think I have the ability, the speed, the strength and endurance to play in this league.
“For me, it was easy to adapt. I knew what to expect - it would be physical but technically also not bad.
“If I stay consistent and perform to my best, I think I have the chance to help my nation as well.
