Farage's man eyes NHS fees for Scots patients

Lord Offord publishes a paper on end to service as we know it

REFORM UK's soon-to-be leader in Scotland has been linked to calls to hit NHS patients with fees.

Lord Offord edited a paper which urged a “dialogue” on introducing charges in the health service.

Labour MSP Jackie Baillie said: “This once again demonstrates Reform cannot be trusted when it comes to our NHS.

“Nigel Farage's party wants to scrap the NHS and make working people pay more by moving to an ‘insurance-based system of healthcare'.

“The people of Scotland will see through Malcolm Offord.”

Offord, a financier, used to be a Minister in the Tory Scotland Office. But he defected to Reform UK in December and Farage is expected to announce him as his Scots leader this week.
