Fuming French coach brands the Murrayfield away dressing room smallest in world and says it's like being in a corridor
FABIEN GALTHIE fired the first shot in a war of words with Scotland yesterday - by claiming the away dressing room at Murrayfield is the smallest in the world.
The French can become Six Nations champions tomorrow if they beat Gregor Townsend's side in the capital.
But their coach reckons that if they do, it will be no thanks to the facilities there.
At a press conference to announce his team, Galthie said: “The changing room, in my opinion, is the smallest in the world. We change in the corridor, let's be honest. That already sets the tone.
“We regularly ask if they can give us the next room, which is available, but we don't get it.
“So we continue to change in the corridor for an international match. The referees’ changing room is bigger.
“So we know what to expect as soon as we arrive at the stadium” Townsend, who has made five changes to his starting 15 for the game, admitted he was surprised by Galthie’s complaint.
