Nail technician looking forward to family festive fun
A NAIL technician diagnosed with cancer at just 21 has received her best-ever Christmas present after being given the all-clear by doctors.
Glaswegian Erin Lavery's health problems started with a persistent cough, breathlessness, dizzy spells and sweating through the night.
But she then noticed a lump appear on her neck.
Migraines blurred her vision and she needed to take time off from her job.
In August 2024, she learned she had blood cancer Hodgkin lymphoma.
Erin said: "Being diagnosed with cancer was the scariest thing I've been through. But at the same time, it was a relief as I'd been sick for so long."
Further tests revealed the cancer had spread to her neck, chest and stomach, and Erin started chemotherapy.
