DIRE RUN IS DONE AND I'M GOAL CRAZY
Daily Record
|October 08, 2025
SCOTLAND UNDER-21s striker Dire Mebude ended a yearlong goal drought for his Belgian side at the weekend — and can't wait to get stuck into minnows Gibraltar tomorrow.
-
Scot Gemmill’s kids are at Dens Park as they aim to bounce back from losing their opening Euro 2027 qualifiers to Czech Republic and Portugal.
Westerlo ace Mebude will earn his 15th cap in Dundee and the former Rangers and Manchester City youngster would love to mark the occasion with another goal or two.
He was delighted to end his scoring drought at the weekend as his side defeated OH Leuven. And he’s hoping he can use the experience of going through an agonising dry spell to his advantage.
He said: “It was my first goal of the season and it’s always good to score, especially as it has been so long! It was really good for my confidence.
“I couldn't tell when I last scored - it must have been a year ago, so the goal was massive for me.
