CRIME writer Ian Rankin has revealed how he spent £30,000 on a stereo.
The Scottish novelist, 64, who was knighted in 2022 and has sold more than 30million books, said he forked out for a hi-fi in 2014.
The dad of two said he had an office in Edinburgh where he wrote his books - and stashed his giant record collection.
