If England get major tournament monkey off their back v Spain, Tartan Army are in for years of pain at hands of aces like Jude

DECADE OF DOOM

DO you know the best thing about shopping online with Amazon? That's right, next day delivery.

So by kick-off tomorrow night I should be fully stocked up with the ultimate Scotland fans' survival kit. Headphones, ear plugs, noise cancellers, I'm getting the lot.

None of the cheap stuff either.

I don't mind spending a few bob for the best quality I can get my hands on because they're going to have to last. I have a horrible feeling we might be needing them for quite a while after this current tournament is over.

If I'm right, and England are about to win a first major trophy since 1966 at these Euros, then the worst news of all is that we might have to get used to it for a while.

When you look at the age of Gareth Southgate's boys outstanding top players like Jude Belllingham, Phil Foden, Kobie Mainoo and Bukayo Saka - we could have a decade of doom ahead of us.

Because once they get that monkey off their back and get a first trophy the in bag, they're only going to get a taste for more. And we're going to need to place an order for the materials to build a big iron curtain across the border because the gloating down the road is going to be unbearable.

For the time being, I'll be waiting for the delivery man to come to my door before Southgate's side face Spain in Berlin tomorrow night.

Believe me when I say, I hate to say I told you so. But I did tip them to go all the way before a ball had even been kicked in Germany and the more I've seen of them at this tournament the more I've been getting that sinking feeling that I was probably right all along. IT's not that they've been a good watch. They've been far from it.
