Staggies hero Wright still a bit baffled by 'special' strike
AKIL WRIGHT insists his wonder strike at Aberdeen is one he'll be telling his future grandkids about even if the goal did leave him a little confused.
The Ross County defender is more renowned for scoring with his head but he netted a long-range rocket to send the Staggies soaring to a shock 2-1 win at Pittodrie on Thursday.
The Highlanders hadn't won a Premiership away game for 15 months and now they are looking to make it a hat-trick of wins on the road when they head to Kilmarnock tomorrow.
Wright said: "I'm used to scoring goals with my head mainly. Once I caught it I kind of thought it had a chance here. I was probably confused if anything, because it is not like me to score a goal like that.
