Snubbed Adam still eyeing dugout return
CHARLIE ADAM never got the call - but the former midfielder is ready to pick up the phone if opportunity knocks again.
The 39-year-old threw his hat in the ring for the Dundee job over the summer after Tony Docherty's shock sacking.
The lifelong fan and former captain had his heart set on taking over the reins at Dens Park.
But the ex-Liverpool star never heard back from his beloved club as the Dark Blues opted for Steven Pressley.
He revealed: “No, I had no discussions at all. I applied like probably a number of others and ultimately they have decided to go a different direction. That's up to them and they make a decision on that.
“But the club is there and I'll always support them and hopefully we can start getting the season up and running and start the season well because it was a tough end to the season.
