Dorgu serves up volley to dine out on as United feast on rise to fifth spot
PATRICK DORGU was United's hero on a night of firsts at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim finally ditched his three-at-the-back tactics, springing a surprise by starting with a back four in his 61st game in charge.
The switch paid off as Dorgu fired his first United goal in his 38th appearance to sink Newcastle and reach fifth spot.
Pushed into a right-wing role, the Dane unleashed a vicious volley in the 24th minute for the winner.
Benjamin Sesko struck the bar for the home side and Lewis Hall also hit the woodwork for the Magpies as they dominated the second half but could not find a leveller.
