Latest Stateside fine finish edges Scot towards Ryder slot
BOB MacINTYRE has edged closer to an automatic Ryder Cup spot as he now heads to the FedEx Cup playoffs.
The Scot returned to action after The Open at last week’s Wyndham Championship, where his four-under total after another successfully negotiated cut in the US landed him a tied-44th finish at Sedgefield.
That saw him slightly extend his advantage over third-placed Tommy Fleetwood in the European points standings with just three events remaining before the cutoff point.
