Barron will be bracing himself for Def Con 1

MICHAEL PATON insists Connor Barron will rise to the occasion as the Rangers midfielder returns to Pittodrie for tomorrow night's mouthwatering clash with Aberdeen.

The hostility between both clubs is palpable and the 22-year-old is expected to receive the same animosity that Ryan Jack encountered during his seven years at Ibrox.

But Paton, an ex-Don who managed Barron when on loan at Brechin City, believes the Ibrox new boy will treat the occasion like any normal game and silence the booboys in the Granite City.
