The gelding didn't quite stay three miles when chasing home Western Monkey at Haydock.
That was a strong contest so the five-year-old can open his timber account back over 2m 4f.
Sandy Thomson also thrives here so I'm on SANILAM (1.00) in the other maiden hurdle.
