AS QUEASY AS ONE TOU THREE

Maybe it’s just as well there's no Champions League football this season, otherwise it could have been a bloodbath.

At this rate, the Hoops are struggling to show they are even equipped for the Europa League.

Last night marked another lacklustre showing from a side who have worryingly regressed over the summer.

The hierarchy will take the bulk of the flak from enraged punters who are still reeling at a shambolic transfer window.

Under-fire chief executive Michael Nicholson and his boardroom chums have been accused of failing to take accountability. But Brendan Rodgers under-performing side must also take a long hard look in the mirror.

Five blanks in 12 games is a worrying trend that shows no signs of improving.

It's certainly not the fast-flowing football supporters have been spoiled with under Rodgers and predecessor Ange Postecoglou.

So why are they struggling to find that spark in front of goal? It’s perhaps unfair to ask a player who has only been in the door for a matter of weeks.

But Seb Tounekti didn't shy away from the issue as he said: “It's a good question. We have to analyse the game and see what we can do better.

"I can understand the fans’ thoughts about that. I feel like as a group we are confident in the players we have.

“There are a lot of goals from many of us. We just have to find the rhythm.

“I think when we start scoring, it will be more and more so.
