ALEX GOGIC insists the key to stirring a St Mirren revival is all in the mind.

ALEX CHASES BRAIN GAINS

Saints have slumped to a four-game losing streak to send them tumbling into relegation trouble.

Stephen Robinson’ side have scored two goals in six matches since lifting the Premier Sports Cup.

Gogic admitted he’s seen confidence go but the 31-year-old stalwart says a strong mentality is needed to steer through these tough times.

Saints host Livingston in the Scottish Cup fourth round today and Gogic reckons they can't afford to fall behind.

He said: “We haven't been scoring the first goal, getting the lead in games. Maybe some players are not as confident as they were four weeks ago.

“But we have to remember that it's us that started the league, us that won the cup.

“We've just got to go back to that, be confident and do what we do well. I feel football is more your brain than anything else.

“The mental part is important. You see teams struggle then something changes all of a sudden.
