WINDASS MAY HAVE SOME GROVELLING TO DO WITH NEW TEAM-MATE

FORMER Sheffield Wednesday forward Josh Windass could face an awkward welcome after he completed his move to Wrexham.

It follows footage of him slating one of his prospective teammates reemerging online.

Windass is expected to join Wednesday's Championship rivals on a free transfer this week following his departure from Hillsborough by mutual agreement.

The 31-year-old left the Owls last week amid unrest over delayed wage payments to players for May and June.

He underwent a medical at Wrexham on Monday after already agreeing personal terms, despite interest from his old club Rangers, and was unveiled by the club yesterday.

Windass was one of Wednesday's star performers last season, netting 13 goals and providing five assists in the second tier.

However, Windass might need to make peace with his new colleagues after a video resurfaced on social media showing him taking aim at Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer.
