Walker suffers suspected pelvic injuries in fall

MOUNTAIN RESCUE TEAM CALLED TO NINE INCIDENTS IN SIX DAYS

A WALKER who slipped and sustained pelvic injuries and a man stuck on a cliff were helped by mountain rescuers.

They were two of nine incidents over six days for Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO).

An OVMRO spokesman said on Facebook the call-outs were across north west Wales between August 10 and August 15.

They said the slip took place at Rhaeadr Fawr/Aber Falls in Abergwyngregyn.

The spokesman said: “A walker slipped on the path and injured their back, the team attended, and the casualty was treated for suspected pelvic injuries and placed in a full body vacuum mattress to protect their spine.

“They were stretchered to the team vehicles and taken to hospital for treatment.” Other incidents also sparked calls for help.
