TRULY Scrumptious is a unique vintage tearoom, located on King Street, Mold. It has offered the warmest of welcomes, to its customers for just over a decade.

Truly Scrumptious, Mold

For the last few years, it was run by Catherine Jones, who reluctantly had to sell the business due to ill health. It is now run by Cheryl and her team, who are keen to continue the spirit of the cafe, which has a loyal customer base.

The tearoom has a quaint country cottage look about it with white washed Welsh dressers and floral wallpaper.

The chairs were painted duck egg blue or light pink and the cafe was spotlessly clean. There were a few small garden patio type tables on the outside pavement, if anyone was brave enough to eat alfresco.

On entry, there was a sign with "wait to be seated" near the front door and we were soon greeted by an organised and cheerful member of staff. The tables had a sign which said that they had been cleaned and prepared for the next diners.

The menu was split into breakfast and brunch options with a separate lunch menu. My initial thought whilst looking at the list of options, was how cheap the drinks were. All the speciality coffees were under £3.
