Travel chaos and power cuts as Storm Amy hit

STORM Amy left its mark on North Wales on Saturday as gale force winds and heavy rain caused disruption.

Trees were blown over, blocking roads and sparking travel disruption, flood alerts were in force for parts of Gwynedd and the south east of North Wales, amid a yellow alert for wind, which lasted until midnight.
Anglesey County Council released a list of seven roads that had been blocked by falling trees and branches including Lon Haulfre, Llangoed, the B5109 Llansadwrn to Allt Goch and at Llanddaniel Level crossing.
