Tom Hardy film to bring Wales boost

By hosting iconic shows such as Sex Education, The Crown and The Witcher, Wales has become one of the streaming platform's key production hubs.

The impact is expected to grow further with the imminent release of the biggest feature film ever shot entirely in Wales.

Starring Tom Hardy and directed by Gareth Evans, from Hirwaun, Havoc follows a deal gone wrong and the rescue of a politician's estranged son from the criminal underworld.

Early critiques describe the film as “insanely violent” and “relentlessly brutal” but have lavished praise on its action sequences.

Anna Mallet, Netflix’s production vice-president in the UK, said Wales was an obvious production choice.

She said: “Blessed with incredible creative talent and beautiful natural landscapes, Wales is an amazing place to make entertainment.
